Party in the Park 2008
The Pitshanger Community Association’s Party in the Park was another resounding success this year – and it didn’t rain! As usual the local councillors helped out on the barbeque with sterling service from Cllr Nigel Sumner (Hanger Hill ward) on front of house duties with myself and Cllr Greg Stafford (both Cleveland Ward and pictured left) providing backroom support.
There seemed to be an even bigger crowd this year and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Congratulations to all at the PCA involved in organising it, particularly Martin Kelly and to Chris May who got us all organised on the barbeque. Also thanks to the Police (including Sgt Steve Driscoll of the Cleveland Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team – pictured left) and all the other unnamed volunteers that allow events like this to happen
